5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Bargain, July 9, 2011

This review is from: Emerson Rechargeable Shaver (Sports)
My Norelco bottom-of-the-line shaver has given up after about 8 years of service. Pretty good, I thought, looking to replace it with the same item. I was amazed to find this Emerson licensed product for 10 bucks at CVS. I've had it for a couple of months now, and it has given me good service. Of course, you could hardly expect a product at this price to compete with shavers that cost from 5 to 20 times as much. Admittedly, I do not have a tough beard. But I shave every day with it and it gets the job done. So far there are no signs of performance fatigue. And even if it does last me only another 4 months or so, I would be very pleased indeed, and continue to purchase the Emerson Cordless Razor at this fantastic price. To some of us, price is indeed an important factor.

1.0 out of 5 stars Defeated by my face, December 17, 2010
This review is from: Emerson Rechargeable Shaver (Sports)
This pathetic excuse for a shaver was utterly unable to shave my face. I had not shaved in four days, and tried to use the clippers to get the hair short enough to shave off. The clippers were worthless, draining the battery before I could finish, and pulling rather than cutting. After a partial recharge, I tried the shaver on the part of my face I had half-trimmed. It sort of worked, but pulled a lot and didn't cut close. At least I only paid $10. Time to get out the screw driver and perform a sacrifice.

1.0 out of 5 stars A total and painful waste of money, December 7, 2010

I bought this to keep at the office for those few days when I had to leave home in a hurry without shaving. I charged the battery for the 12 hours recommended and looked forward to having this tool handy. Unfortunately, it couldn't handle a simple beard and rather than shave, seemed to be more effective at pulling the hair into the shaver and trying to pluck it out. Very painful and annoying. I tried charging it up again thinking that perhaps the battery was too new (?). Same thing next day, it kept getting stuck with my face in it, pinching and pulling. I threw it in the trash.
